Feral Cats In NorCal Provide Answer To Rare African Cheetah

A team of scientists from Stanford University and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, researched feral cats in Northern California to learn more about a rare cheetah with stripes that lives in Africa.  The team analyzed genetic sequences in feral tabby cats and were able to determine that the mutation of a single gene is responsible for changing the shape of cats’ markings in its fur.  To learn more, click here.
