Meteorologists have been tracking temperatures for many, many years.  A long held record temperature of 136.4 degrees Fahrenheit was recorded on Sept. 13, 1922, in El Azizia, Libya.  However, modern scientists believe that the measurement was inaccurately made.  The new world’s hottest temperature was recorded in the summer of 1913 in Death Valley, California and measured at 134 degrees Fahrenheit.  To learn more, click here.
