Cold-Blooded Species Not As Vulnerable To Global Warming

Another small piece of good news concerning the environment.  Scientists recently conducted a study to determine if cold-blooded species that live in the tropics are more vulnerable to the increased temperatures associated with climate change.  They found that these species are evolving quickly in order to adapt to hotter environments.  A researcher involved with the study explained, “We forecast that the relative risk of extinction is likely to be lower for tropical species than temperate ones.”  Learn more here.
